- Ryan | Cavalier Rescue FL
< back to home Ryan Adopt Me! Jacksonville area Meet spitfire Ryan , a puppy that seemingly gets stuck in go mode. Maybe he’s just that joyful soul that appreciates life too much, but maybe it’s because his life simply got SO much better recently! Ryan was born in a puppy mill, landed in a shelter, then he had a short time out in a failed adoption, only to come back to the shelter. Then he met CRF! We can’t fathom who wouldn’t fight to keep this charmer, but then some people don’t know they’re not dog people until they try, we guess. Now, Ryan is a puppy, and puppies need some training. The good folks at the shelter taught him Sit, Come, and, wait for it, Dance! Yes, he’ll get up on hind legs and dance for a treat. I mean, the boy just oozes happiness and sheer delight that it is literally impossible not to smile! Ryan , with a lusciously wavy Black and Tan coat, is smart and learning the rest of how to be that good boy. He’s prone to an occasional case of the zoomies, and sometimes his tail needs chasing. His favorite thing is his Kong and he’ll even toss it around himself. The only thing faster than Ryan is the car, and he’s a fan. This boy has such a bright, and fast, future! We’re so happy for you, Ryan ! 🐶 Age: Ryan is 16 months old. 👍🏻 Weight: 14.8 lbs. 🐾 Circumstances: Born in a puppy mill. 🐕 Temperament : One ecstatic puppy! ❤️ Health: Ryan ’s vetting shows his heart, ears and hips are good. He’s being examined for some potential ophthalmological (eye) concerns, and we will continue his medical vetting. Please check back for more pup-dates as we share his progress. CRF microchips all rescues. 🏡 Forever Home Requirements: ✔️ Preferably an at-home adult most of the day. ✔️ No young children ✔️ Fenced yard for roaming and playtime required. ✔️ Another like-sized pup companion required. No bigger dogs ✔️ House training in progress but will need commitment to continued training. ✔️ Commitment to daily walks/exercise to help maintain his health. This pup is not available for adoption yet, we are still working on his vetting and socialization. 💸 Adoption Donation : $ 1200 If you believe you, your home and lifestyle offer Ryan everything he needs, please complete an adoption application. If you would like to know more or have completed an adoption application in the past six months, please email us with “ Ryan ” in the subject line to: adoptions@cavrescuefl.org . 🚩 If you do not check ALL of the above requirements, your application will not pass the screening process for consideration. < back to home Jasper Donate Gulfport "Pups teach us the purest kind of love." Our sweet Jasper has been in rescue for over one year. In that time, under the loving care and commitment from his furry-godmother (foster mom) and our dedicated partner veterinarians, he has thrived! In the past year, we have seen good progress from our adorably tufted, tail-wagging, tongue-out Jasper, his mobility has greatly improved with hydrotherapy and physical therapy sessions and he loves his therapists, veterinarians, weekly baths and rubber ducks. However, a newly discovered malignant tumor has shifted our focus to his comfort and contentment. We know it is in his best interest to not unsettle him at this point. It is with an abundance of love and tenderness that we are going to keep beautiful Jasper in our care for the rest of his precious days in the loving, comfortable foster home he has grown to love and cherish so much. Our Jasper is happy, blissful and in the best and most capable hands of his adoring foster mom and he will enjoy life as a cherished Hart’s Hope pup; Hart’s Hope is our new long term care/hospice program for our elderly and sickly pups. - Topaz | Cavalier Rescue FL
< back to home Topaz Donate Adopted! Meet Topaz , the sixth of the Treasured Ten pups. The gemstone topaz is a vivacious and multidimensional gem loaded with healing powers. Topaz is a symbol of love and affection with added properties that reflect one’s sweetness and disposition. Friendly, tri-colored Topaz is all this! Sadly, it was evident that Topaz missed out on kind treatment and would hide under a table or in her crate and feared being touched. Luckily those days are over and her future is shiny and bright. With the help of her loving foster family, which includes dogs, cats and children, Topaz is starting to come out of her shell and trust humans. She seeks affection, wags her tail and rolls over for a belly rub. Curious little Topaz loves toys! She piles them in her crate and sleeps with them. You might even find your sock in that pile – Topaz will hoard anything accessible, so a watchful eye is needed. This petite youngster is very active and athletic. She walks a mile a day, which is amazing since walking in a harness is new to her. Jumping up onto furniture and playtime are two of her favorite things. Topaz has come a long way in a short period of time. House breaking is going well considering that going outside is a new concept to her. She will need additional training as she adjusts to being a pet. Will sweet Topaz be the one to add some sparkle to your life? 🐶 Age: 18 months young 👍🏻 Weight: 15 lbs. 🐾 Circumstances: Breeder surrender, one of the Treasured Ten ❤️ Health: Topaz has been vetted and is general good health. Now their forever angel. xo General Fund Goodbye Gracie and Shawn We lost our two wonderful Cavies, Gracie & Shawn, within a month of each other. Gracie was a beautiful black and tan carried in her lap by Ingrid Eyler, Smoky Mountain Cavaliers, from Ireland as a puppy. Shawn, a striking ruby Cavalier, was one of Gracie's puppies. He selected Lucille, with a big hug around her neck, when he first met us. They were great travelers and loving companions. We miss them terribly. Rest In Beauty, magnificent Marty Our beautiful Marty was CRF's very first Hart’s Hope pup. In our care for the rest of his days, we couldn’t imagine a worthier pup to start this loving program. Remembering Sweet Lil' Viv We wish we could have spent our lives basking in your sweetness and your boundless energy! What a joy you were--the most vivacious little ten-year-old Cavalier ever known to us. A HUGE spirit in a tiny little body – but you lived so BIG - every moment of your life you lived to the fullest! And though you walked along with us, your adoptive family, for only seven short months, it was a privilege to have you spend what was to be 'the rest of your life' with us. The joy you brought and the memories we made are forever. And the LOVE we have for you is also forever and beyond, our sweet Lil Viv ♥ Until we meet again, sweet soul... xo Remembering Jasmine She Was a Tiny Angel Loved by all who met her. In Loving Memory of Toby Toby was a one-of-a-kind sweet, low-maintenance and chill tricolor who loved taking car rides with his family. The house is so very quiet without his signature snores. He will be forever missed. In Loving Memory of Teddi Bear You changed our world, darling boy. You shared your love equally with us and were happiest when your family were all together. We will love you till the end of time. We miss you sweet Bears. xo Ava was so loved. I said to myself that I'm not going to make her suffer and lose her dignity. With tears in my eyes and her in my arms, I helped her cross the Rainbow Bridge. I hope there is a Heaven because I want her and our other “kids” to know how much we still love and miss them. xoxoxo Remembering the Angel Gabriel Gabriel’s angelic name was much more than just fitting. He seamlessly worked with Spirit above to perform routine miracles of love. They continue even now, as he’s ever with me. In Loving Memory of Tucker Sweet Tucker was an incredible emotional support Cavalier and true to his nature, wagged his tail until his very last moments. He was truly a one-of-a-kind Cavalier and will forever be in my heart. xo Rest In Paradise, Jimmy Buffet CRF mourns the passing of Jimmy Buffet, not only a wonderful performer, songwriter and human being, but most of all, we cherish his love for Cavaliers! Rest in paradise, Jimmy Buffet, we send so much love to your family and your beach-loving, surfboarding, four-legged parrotheads. In Loving Memory of Shelby Shelby was a very special member of our family. A sweet soul who loved everyone and everyone she met they loved her. She was so dear to me. A beloved companion like Shelby came into my life at 12 weeks old and those years just flew by and on August 16th she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 14. We were so lucky and very thankful to have this brave and beautiful girl as long as we did. Shelby will be missed for a very long time. She certainly left her paw prints on my heart. - Bobbi Ruben In Loving Memory of Nutmeg 2014 CRF Alumni With love from your family Up

- Douglas | Cavalier Rescue FL
< back to home Douglas Adopt Me Bradenton Introducing freckled-faced Douglas ! He’s described as a lizard chasing lapdog who loves long walks. He even looks forward to getting his harness on. Good boy! Though calm in demeanor, Douglas is a bit skittish around energetic dogs, active children and moving cars. He tolerates friendly, similar sized dogs but he doesn’t actively engage with them. Being the only dog in the house would suit this sweet Blenheim well. Sleeping arrangements for Douglas are simple, he prefers a bed or bedroom floor. He becomes vocal when crated. House breaking is going well. To be the best-est boy he can, Douglas will need additional training. He knows ‘sit’ and is working on other commands but will look to you for additional guidance and structure. Douglas is a charmer! He loves to play with the sliding glass door and smoosh his nose against the glass. Silly boy. 🐶 Age: 4 years 👍🏻 Weight: 15 lbs. 🐾 Circumstances: Owner surrender ❤️ Health: Douglas has been vetted and is being scheduled for a neurology visit for further evaluation.
